Welcome to St Ives Nursery
St Ives Nursery is a private day care nursery located in the centre of St Ives, conveniently placed close to both the A14 for access to Cambridge and easy rail links for commuters into London. Our beautiful converted Victorian house and garden allow us to foster our ethos of providing our children with a ‘home from home’ environment.
We are open full-time from 7:30am – 6:00pm, caring for children from 3 months to 5 years.
Our philosophy is that every child we care for deserves a calm, caring, safe and stimulating environment in which to learn.
We adhere to our registration on the Ofsted Early Years Register. This monitors the overall quality standards of the early years provision in line with the principles and requirements of the ‘Statutory Framework for the Early Years Foundation Stage’.
Come and join us for one of our completely free Stay and Play sessions where you and your child can see what coming to St Ives Nursery is really like!
Sessions will include messy play, story morning, sensory play and arts and crafts, amongst others.
Please contact us on firstname.lastname@example.org for more information and to book a free Stay and Play place
Our main aim is to provide a secure and happy environment where children can learn through play.
Your first settling in sessions will give you and your child an opportunity to get to know your child’s key person.
We offer daily opportunities for learning outdoors, giving children the freedom to explore and be physically active in our enclosed garden which has a selection of play equipment, water, sand and a mud kitchen. We also regularly visit nearby Warners Park.
Our menus are designed by the nursery chef and a paediatric dietician to meet the needs of each age group.
“A fantastic nursery that goes above and beyond to accommodate both the parent and child. I’m always sharing our story! Proud to send my daughter here.”
“St Ives nursery was the only nursery we viewed that felt truly personable and as if our child was not just a number. I can only say that it has absolutely lived up to that and I honestly feel like they try and help us as much as possible when things don’t go smoothly our end. The atmosphere is always ‘warm and fuzzy’ in whichever room my son has been in as he has grown up in the last year. The staff are supportive, encouraging and kind. I wouldn’t send my children anywhere else!”
“Best Nursery ever!….The environment is lovely, the staff are fabulous and I feel really safe leaving my child in their care!…You can’t go wrong!..I love my son’s Nursery!”

“The nursery have been amazing! The staff are all wonderful and make sure your child/children are well cared for. As a mum of a special needs child, I cannot fault the nursery for giving my daughter the attention she needs. They go above and beyond to learn and understand her condition to be able to care for her.”
“The staff at the nursery are brilliant. My child loves the nursery and I feel completely at ease when I am at work knowing she is in good hands. Her learning and confidence have come on in leaps and bounds. Could not speak more highly of St Ives Nursery.”
“I am a mummy to two little girls aged 8 and 2 and a half. My oldest attended St Ives nursery until she was able to start school and absolutely loved her time there. My youngest loves her days at nursery and gets even more excited if she does extra hours/days. Staff all lovely, friendly and professional. Wouldn’t send my child anywhere else.”
We offer extra-curricular activities for all children which include wake up and shake up, cookery, music and movement, library visits for Rhyme Time and Key Sports. We are excited to soon be introducing Forest School sessions.
